Cotton Court Hotel delights guests with its charming atmosphere, accentuated by unique decor, live music, and cozy fire pits. Nestled in a central location, it's a stone's throw from local attractions. While the rooms' distinctive style and comfort receive applause, occasional noise and lighting issues are noted. The courtyard, pool, and fire pits are standout amenities, complementing the hotel's cleanliness. However, the value for money comes under scrutiny due to unexpected fees. Service is generally commendable, marked by an accommodating staff, though not without occasional lapses in organization.

Hotel was a joke
I don't really like writing bad reviews cause I tend to let things go but not in this case. In a nutshell the water pressure in the shower was a joke and their barn door idea won't keep the door closed. The front desk made me feel belittled the times I had questions. Be sure they remember to give you a placard so you don't get your car towed cause their parking lot gets filled quickly especially on the weekends. I believe the restaurant is open to the public so it's get questionable on parking. You'll have to park elsewhere and hope the garage elevator works since you have to park on the 3rd and 4th floor. The pool wasn't available due to an incident. Then during my stay I was given maybe a 12hour noticed that they were going to cut off the water after 10 for the remainder of the night to upgrade their water softener system. This was an obvious sign this was planned ahead and scheduled. I understand some things are it is what it is but I was never given a notice about it when I checked in. Almost like they didn't want to tell me in fear I'd go elsewhere. So no water for the rest of the night. For the money I had to pay or you may have to pay you may find better "experiences" elsewhere cause I got nothing that they described here. There were many little things that were a bit frustrating. And also never knew about a Valet service till I looked on their website to write this review.

Beautiful and cozy
This hotel is beautiful and is very well managed. I spoke to Dillon Salinas who was very kind and showed me the place along with what the inside the rooms looked like and I was stunned how new and clean everything looked. Also a great bar and saturday scene with a live band at the restaurant attached. Although I live in Lubbock so I won't be staying here myself I highly recommend Cotton Court. Give it a try and thanks again dillion!

Disappointing experience
The room was nice, the people were friendly, but the staff and management are on different pages and tell the guests what they think they want to hear, when in reality what they told us they knew was false! Do not depend on their shuttle to take you where they say. They drop you off and pick you up in an unsafe area and you still have to walk a very long way! We had a baby and I am a cancer patient and wish they would have been more honest, instead of telling us that the drop off/pick up location was at a safer location and a shorter walking distance like numerous employees told us numerous times. This happened 2 weekends in a row, also! They use it as a selling point for your stay, “free shuttle to and from Jones AT&T stadium”, when in reality it’s not what guests spending that much money to stay there expect!

Cotton Court Visit
Overall I loved the room and the environment. Everything was clean and the decor was beautiful. My only concern was that we had scheduled a late checkout for 2pm and housekeeping starting knocking on our door at 10 am and trying to enter because they did not know we had a late checkout. Then later at 1:30 someone actually entered our room while we were sleeping and when they noticed we were still in the room they left. My only note for improvement would be better communication between staff about checkout times. Other than that everything was great!

Great hotel, family friendly, and amazing atmosphere
The service was exceptional. Everyone from the front desk staff to housekeeping went out of their way to help us and to make us feel welcomed. The room was very comfortable. It has a nice size refrigerator and good size bathroom. The location was close to everything you might need while you are away from home. It is such a nice hotel with such a unique vibe. I also love the restaurant at the hotel. The food was delicious.

Uncomfortable, noisy, and a rip-off
We stayed here for 2 nights, and will never come back. The beds are very uncomfortable, the exterior of the building looks like an old warehouse, the interior decor is something out of the 1950s, the bathroom feels like a locker room, there is no place to sit down and eat take-out except at a desk with a very hard, metal chair. In addition, we were awoken at 2 am to people yelling and screaming, either in the courtyard or another room. And worst of all, when we arrived home, we found our credit card had been charged an additional almost $150. When we called to complain, they said it was because we ate from the mini-bar, which we never even touched!!

Thank you for being our guest and we appreciate the feedback. Our custom beds are made for us from Sealy and made to accommodate the majority of people and normally get great reviews and guests purchase them as well. I understand that not everyone will feel it is to their liking. The hotel is built new and opened in Sept 2020 and designed to look like an old Warehouse converted into a hotel but the rooms are modern and luxurious with a large courtyard, giving it a unique and fun atmosphere. We do apologize for other guest noise and address them immediately when reported. If there was an error on the minibar, we are happy to fix it to make it right.

No microwaves in the rooms
I didn't like the lack of a microwave in the room. I can't remember the last time I stayed at a hotel that did not have a microwave in the room. Six hours after I checked out my credit card was charged twice for mini bar items I did not consume requiring me to call the hotel to have the charges removed. The first morning I had breakfast at Midnight Shift restaurant a gratuity was automatically added to my bill even though we were only a party of three.

Best hotel in Lubbock! Promise!
Best hotel in Lubbock ! Promise! Close to Texas Tech, the stadium and downtown! Jaw droppingly gorgeous courtyard with fireplaces and fire pits! Sparkling pool with lift for mobility challenged.
Retro- modern style with large rooms with stocked mini frig which is actually a full size retro- looking frig and a basket of reasonably priced snacks. Large shower with a ledge to sit on. Fabulous, aromatic shower necessities. Keurig coffee maker! Big bonus! Can’t stand those cheap hotel coffee makers. I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant, Midnight Shift, but the menu looked amazing! There’s complimentary coffee that is out of this world and yummy pastries for breakfast or have a delicious breakfast made fresh for you from the restaurant. Cotton Court does not disappoint! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Classy, rugged, mix of soft and manly, warm and cozy.
It is an excellent botique style hotel with a lot of heart. It is very classy with its small touches of at home comforts and quality bedding. It is manly enough for the cowboy and soft enough for the ladies.
Heated pool, restaurant and bar in one room. Bring your earplugs for the bad singers. Ice right outside your door. Nice soft white robes, in room refrigerator is sizeable and full of quality booze and wines. Kids snack basket. comfy bed. sweet but not too sweet scented room . It feels like your in a cabin but not in the woods. We loved it. Fireplaces and pits all over the property. Veterans welcome too.

Weekend getaway.
No bang for the $$$. The service was good. The place was clean. I just expect to be spoiled a little when I pay over $300.00 a night for a room. The restaurant menu was very limited as far as choices. What was on the menu was very overpriced in my opinion.
The room had a stocked mini bar with snacks which we didn’t even touch and after we checked out I received an email of the itemized statement showing that I was charged for all the items. In their defense, we called them and did receive a credit.
I do appreciate that, but long story short we probably won’t be going back.

Yes, it is. It is not a heated pool, so it is rather cold in the fall & winter.

Is there secure parking??
Answer from Martha G
Addison, Texas12 contributions14 helpful votes
No secure parking, in fact the only negative about this hotel is the parking. They have a very popular restaurant and host weddings and events; there is never enough parking in their lot or on the street around the hotel. The option they offer is a multi-story lot across the street, which is not far, but the elevators in the garage do not work, so if you have luggage....good luck hauling it down the ramps!
